Hats & Sunglasses.
Sun seems to be back.
Everybody’s out with hats and sunglasses, walking through the market, and enjoying some slow time on a sunny Sunday.
Hope it’ll last a few more weeks (months ?) !
Sweet sweet home with my 2 girls! (And my OM-D).
Hey I’m now home. Recovering process is quite long and boring, as I have to wait 5 more weeks for my scar to heal.
Walking on the streets is damnnnn slow and I can’t go for long walks right now but sure, it will get better and better.
I’ve also just returned the Nikon D90 to my friend, and received my brand new OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10, with the well praised Oly 45mm f/1.8 lens and the tiny (shitty ?) Kit 14-42 pacake zoom lens.
As I’m on the short budget side, the kit zoom lens will be mainly used at the 17mm (35 equivalent) focal length, until I save money for the terrific Oly 17mm f/1.8 !
Streets, watch out : I’ll be soon back on tracks :)
Cigarette and hallway colors at night
I couldn’t sleep, so I went out my room to have one last cigarette.
Three in fact, in a row. How bad is it.
The worst thing is that it didn’t help me to relax, at all.
Now my throat is aching, my feet are damn cold, and so many questions and fears keep harassing me.
I’ve never thought I would be so freaked out because of this surgery (4 hours left).
Whatever.. At least, this little excursion outside my hospital room allowed me to capture some creepy colors and perspective of this usually overcrowded outdoor hall (little PP).
Better than nothing :)
A last street(art) shot before…
… before I get my back surgery tomorrow.
I found those nice lines and colors as I was taking my last walk before D-Day.
I’ll be back on the street very soon (I hope at least) with a brand new spine and a new street companion (Camera Fuji x100s should arrived by the end of March). Can’t wait to get there !
In the meantime, take care, you all and keep on framing the World :)
This gonna be my new office outfit.
Fancy Grandma !
(Military) Vintage gaze
(poor framing, but who cares :)
Neighbor to ignore ?
Damn, I miss the streets and my Camera !
It’s been quite a while since I last updated my page.
Several reasons for this this.
But no worries : in the next few months, I’ll be able to get some new decent :)
Moreover, a friend let me kindly borrow a camera from him until March.
This is a Nikon D90 with 2 primes (50mm 1.8 and the wonderful 85mm 1.8), which allow me to get more familiar with the DSLR gear.
This is a piece of really nice gear, even though the camera is a lot bigger and heavier than my former-tiny-stealthy Sony NEX-6 :)
But whatever, I can now keep on shooting during my rare outdoor times.
So, by the end of March, my plan is to go for a carry-everywhere camera Fuji X100s, coupled with a main “work” camera which will probably be an Oly OM-D E-M5 (or M-10, haven’t decided yet), or even a DSLR like Nikon D7000/7100/5300 or whatever. There are just so many awesome cameras now on the market…
In the meantime, let me share with you my shot of the day, taken in a cold, and desert sunday evening in Vincennes (region of Paris).
I used the 85mm for this one. Even if most will argue that 85mm is not a Street Photo lens by all means, I truly believe some nice Street work can be done with those longer focal lenghts..
Enjoy and stay tuned, there are more to come with the 85mm street-test :)
